Supposed to take 5 days on the whole of the territory, the vaccination campaign against measles was launched on February 19th in Libreville by the first lady of Gabon, Sylvia Bongo.
The first lady of Gabon officially launched the measles vaccination campaign, initiated by the Ministry of Health, at the Nzeng-Ayong health center in the 6th district of Libreville.
This vaccination campaign aims to preserve children from 9 months to 5 years against this infectious and contagious disease. As Sylvia Bongo noted, « very often we engage in ideas, we are passionate about causes, but some are more important than others. » For Sylvia Bongo, causes such as measles vaccination « focused on the fundamentals like child health, preservation of life and health merits a collective commitment, » she said.
